Sylvie Pombart was educated in Lyon, France where she received her bachelor’s degree in Architecture with honors in 1993. Her Thesis titled a “Green Skyscraper in Lyon” where the city was planning a series of high-rises.
Upon graduation, she joined Sir Norman Foster and Partners, winning team of the “eco-tower” competition, Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany ; where Green Architecture was already a concern, and worked on the Commerzbank headquarters.
In 1994, she came to the United States to complete a Master’s degree in Design Studies at Harvard University. After graduation, she moved to San Francisco and then San Diego to gain 8 years of work experience in the US and obtain in 2000 a California License.
In 2002, she opened her office “Architect Sylvie Pombart”. Based on her personal values, she responds to her client’s inquiries with excellence in design. She creates public or private spaces bringing natural and built environments in harmony in their specific context and place. The projects illustrated on this site are examples of her experience as individual project architect and as a firm.
Sylvie Pombart is licensed in California and France, she is member of the American Institute of Architects and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
